They are solid oak and most have seat cushions. Offers around £150 /£200, depending on size, will be considered.

Ivybridge Food Bank.  Christmas

Christmas is a hard time for families who are struggling in this economic climate and luxuries such as a turkey Christmas lunch will not be possible for a small number of families in the Ivybridge area.  If you would like to donate a turkey to one of these families or contribute towards the purchase, please contact Julia Ray on 01752 872339 for details.

Parish Church Review

The Church of England in this part of Devon—‘the Deanery of Ivybridge’—takes in the area from Dartmoor to the sea and from the eastern boundary of Plymouth to the Erme estuary.  A small team is currently reviewing the life and work of the C. of E. in Ivybridge Deanery and will report in due course to the Bishop of Exeter.

The team would like to hear the views of parish residents—whether they attend services regularly, occasionally or not at all—about what you think your community needs from your local parish church, what you value in it and hope will continue into the next generation, and anything you think needs to change.

Your feedback will be appreciated, and every communication received will be carefully considered and will help the final report to give as true a picture as possible of church life in your parish.  Submissions may be quoted or summarised in the report, but the names of those contributing their views will be confidential to the review team, all three members of which live and work outside Ivybridge deanery.  They are retired Chief Constable Gillian Parker; the Team Rector of West Dartmoor, the Revd Preb. Nick Shutt; and the Ven. Douglas Dettmer, Archdeacon of Totnes.

Please respond by the end of October, either by email (preferably) or by post to the office of the Archdeacon of Totnes:- Email:
